All about 9th grade orientation?

Question

What can I expect? How long is it? Do they give you your schedule?

Do they give you a tour? How do people dress for it? Did you see people looking completely different at yours? What would I wear with a dark was pair of skinny jeans? Please Help!!:)

Check out your new school

Get locker combo

You will receive required reading for the whole school year = $$

You might take student ID Photo

You will need your parents

You'll definitely get ALOT of textbooks

Dress however you want..ppl wont stop ans stare

Wear like a bright colored shirt

Have fun.. theres nothing to worry about!!

I am going to be in 9th grade too, and at my new school they call it freshmen day. I have been told that freshmen start a  day earlier then grades 10-12, and yes you dress normally unless your school has uniforms. I think that they either mail you, your schedule like a week before school starts or you get it on the freshmen day. With dark skinny jeans I would wear like a blue, pink or a nice top with it. At my 9th grade orientation I already had my schedule. If you don't have it they will probably give it to you there. I just went to each of my classes and the teacher talked about what the class would be like. It was not very long, maybe an hour. I didn't get a tour but I did have a little time to look around on my own. Just dress normally, like you would for school. Don't worry, I will be starting 11th grade in a month and I am still ok.

I'm going into 9th grade too. A letter came in the mail telling me about it.

Mine is 3 and a half hours long, it's combined with our schedule pickup, they give us a tour of our campus, just dress regular but nice. we have a inner and outer tour of our 3 schools (it's big) a presentation, we part ways with our parents and they get a presentation while we meet some of our class mates, get our books, and visit some rooms and meet teachers.

last year we had an assembly at the begining that discusses the school, and clubs and other programs that are offered. They also had a guest speaker talking a cliques and how dumb they are. then they had a tour of the campus and pin pointed all the teachers and the halls. then we had a large out door BBQ where all the in coming grade 9s could meet and talk and also meet the upperclass men.
