  1. We are going a Dora the Explorer theme since its her fav cartoon to watch.

We are having Famous Dave's come and grill ribs and chicken.  So far I think there will be about 50 people.  I also got a bounce house and bubble machine...probably going overboard but I am excited she is turning one!

Sounds like Emma is going to have fun too!!

  2. My son was born on groundhogs day.  Its in the winter.... unfortunately.... so I can't really throw any out door parties.

I am thinking a winter party theme.  With a snowman cake..... and snow flakes.....  I plan on having a smaller personal family party for my sons first birthday.  Probably only 10-20 people.  Then I am going to serve hot hearty food.  Like soup.... or chili..... and some sort of sandwichs.  Probably hot italian beefs and barbacues.

  3. My little one will be a year on Halloween and we are going to have a small family party. Just cousins and aunts and uncles and of course grandparents on each side.

  4. Not necessarily a theme party... I'd really like to have it at my house, but my house is also my mom's new house and she would rather not have a party there.  Soooo - There's a local buffet place near my work that has a room for parties.  We are going to meet there and eat lunch/dinner and then they are letting me bring in a cake.  The plates/napkins and cake will be decorated as Mickey Mouse Clubhouse theme (yeah, I've changed it back from the Monkey stuff, lol).  I'm inviting about 10 families (each family has at least one child, if not more, lol).

  5. We're having a baseball themed party for my son.  His cake is going to be a baseball diamond and I'm also going to make some cupcakes and decorate them with baseballs and grass.  We're inviting about 40 family members and friends to our back yard (it's rather large) and we're going to serve your typical summer BBQ fare:  hamburgers, hotdogs, veggies and dip, salads, chips.  I still haven't figured out what to do for favor bags though...
