yes hamsters sleep in the day and are awake at night!they eat hamster food and almost any kind of fruit or veggie!! i recomend care fresh! its absorbent and does not stink!!

Hamsters are nocturnal so they sleep most of the day. Yet they do awaken every 2 or 3 hours to eat and get a drink. When you get your hamster, be sure to leave it alone 2 or 3 days. And hamsters don't need certain bedding, but there is bedding that you should use and one that is better that others. You should never use pine, cedar, aspen, or scented beddings because they can cause illness or death. Also try to avoid cotton wool. I recommend the carefresh bedding because it deodorizes and is not harmful to the animal.

Yes, hamsters are nocturnal which mean they are awake at night and asleep during the day.  They make many types of food for them from seed mixes to pressed blocks. When you go to the pet store look for something that says its specifically for hamsters. You can also feed them various fruits and veggies. I recommend Care fresh litter. It comes in grey[regular]white and several bright colors. Its very absorbent and Eco-friendly[good for enviroment]. Stay away from wood shavings like ceder or pine. The fumes could make your hamster sick.

I would always give my hamsters empty klenex boxes so they would have a safe place to chill out.

They will chew through anything plastic... buy a metal cage...

There are some good hamster diets on the market.  I recommend the block diet. Mazuri makes a good one.  They like fresh fruits and veggies as well.

As far as bedding goes, I usually recommend Carefresh (recycled paper bedding) or Aspen shavings.

Just don't use pine or cedar.
