  1. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Honolulu

  2. Honolulu is the capital of Hawaii. The name derives from the native words hono, meaning “a bay,” and lulu, meaning “sheltered.” The bay, or harbor was a main shipping point for traders, merchants, seafarers, etc.

There's no exact date of when Honolulu was discovered. Some say 1100 A.D., and some say 2,000 years ago when the Polynesians arrived. In 1850, King Kamehameha III officially named Honolulu the capital city of Hawaii.

The population in Honolulu is a little over 900,000.

  3. Honolulu is the capital of the state of Hawaii and is located on the island of Oahu (which is the most heavily populated island and the center of Hawaii state government).

I don't know the population of Honolulu itself but the island of Oahu has something like 1 million people living on it.

Check out http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Honolulu for more information.

    Hope that helps you......good luck!
