  1. probably between warren gatland (waikato) and Robbie deans(crusaders), thats if they're not snapped up by the other half of the world who need new coaches.

  2. Henry did not seem to want to stay on passed the world cup.

Deans may have already burnt his bridges.

Gatland could do it, and so could John Kirwin.

Personally I would love to see Hason or Smith stay on as head and bring in Kirwin and Michael Jones as back and forward coaches.

  3. Is it really necessary to change the NZ coach? I am from South Africa and followed some of the buzz. He lost one critical game and has done wonders with the NZ team. Why change him? Are we sometimes not over reacting.

  4. Most likey Robbie Deans, due to the fact that he is the most successful coach in New Zealand (with the Crusaders), the NZRU won't want him to coach Australia and that all of the New Zealand media are backing him.

  5. I don't know if Robbie Deans would be my ideal pick for coach - although it does look pretty likely right now.  I know he's been fully successful with Canterbury/Crusaders for many years now etc......... but I can't help feeling that with the All Blacks, he won't be able to bring a new dimension to his coaching style - and therefore the entire ABs squad would end up playing just like the Crusaders and everyone already knows that team's strengths & weaknesses.

I do however remember seeing an interview or article where Wayne Smith mentioned that he would be very keen for the top job should Graham Henry venture elsewhere next season.  I personally welcome this.

  6. there is only jacka** Robbie Dean ah not again

  7. Will go with Robbie Deans. He has been very VERY succesfull with the Crusaders.

  8. I don't know if Australia will support the decisions of a Kiwi Coach.

Robbie Deans does have a very good record, but so did Graham Henry.

Canterbury lost to Wellington last night and Auckland looks favour to winning the Air New Zealand Cup.

New Zealand has a wide variety of very good Coaches to choose from and a great range of players to select.

May be the question should be, should the All Black have two Coaches?

One for the everyday development of players and test matches and One for the World Cup.

Why can't we have two teams to play in the World Cup?

I believe our B Team are just as good as some of the other teams in the World Cup. This may even lift the level of performance of our A Team and other Countries.

  9. Well... like Roger Federer, who is so good at tennis, he does not require a coach, The New Zealanders are all born great at playing rugby, so maybe they should just phase out the ref completely.

  10. Yeah maybe we should look overseas for coaches like Jake White..and Eddie Jones can tag along too.  Look at how he has turned the Springboks around..in 2003 they lost the Quarter Finals as well. And when he became the coach in 2004 he's made them the strong contenders we see now at the World Cup...and his contract ends after the World Cup too..He's doing something right..and he's already expressed his interest for the Wallabies position..I really do hope he takes some interest in this All Blacks position =) Come on Jake White we need your expertise! help us!!..lol!
