  1. What has happened? now let me see............. um ............you took it to a cowboy thats wot happened.

  2. like melvyn says take it back and threaten to report him

  3. They either disconnected a sensor or the electronics software decided during the change that there was something wrong and has disabled the signal.

Get in touch with the garage and get them to fix it for free.

  4. Take it back to the mecanic that did the work and tell him he needs to put it right for you.  Tell him this only happened after he did the work for you and although he may charge you again don't be fooled into paying too much!

  5. If you "took it to the best garage in town" I dread to think what the worst would have done!

  6. You need to take it back to the garage to get the ABS reset.

    Regards

  7. Seems like they disconnected your speedo cable.

  8. Look, give the shop a chance to make it right.  Don't threaten.  Vehicles are complex, and things can happen.  If he won't correct the problem, keep turning up the pressure, but give them a chance first.

I've had folks come in for an auto trans rebuild that was completely wiped out with an engine missing and pouring out smoke.  We rebuilt the trans and they came back saying the car didn't run like that BEFORE they brought it in.  The car didn't MOVE before we towed it in.  My point is this, somtimes things DO fail at the same time mx is bing done w/out cause.  It happens.

Bottom line, give the shop a chance, it could be as simple as an unplugged sensor.
