All cat owners please answer?

Question

When your cats were 8 weeks did they have a s****. aditude and were really independent? Did they not really want afection much and act pissy sometimes?

When they were about 5-7 months did they change and become really lovy or are they still the same?

i honestly couldn't count how many personality changes my cat has gone through in 18 yrs, let alone how many she went through when she was a kitten. keep persisting with gentle strokes from time to time ,she may come around. from about 8 weeks to 14 months she was independent and pissy , she still gets that way just less often.

at 8 weeks my cats wouldn't look at me unless i had something to offer let alone let me love them. Now they are 15 weeks and the most loving kittens. So its possible for them to change their attitude.

EVERY cat has a COMPLETELY different attitude.  I have had some like you described, and I have had some the opposite.  I had one who was like three weeks old and loved to be held in my hand and have her little belly caressed.  You just never know what you are going to get.

all my 2 girl cats acted like that. I think all female animals Are Beyotches cuase my old dog was like that but my 4 boy cats arent a bit like that.

you just have to get used to it and leave her be

Oh ya you bet I have 7 cats 4 are kittens and my two older cats are affectionate  and cuddly while my little brats don't want to be bothered I can pick them up for about 10 to 20 seconds and then all of the sudden they want to put down they will meow grunt or get squirmy.  Its cuz they are young and want to explore and play. when they get a little older then they mellowed out. So ya I know what exactly what your talking about.

When my cats were 8 weeks they just wanted to sleep when I was home.  If  I sat down they were climbing on top of me and  out like  a light.  Even when they got older they liked to play more but were still very cuddly and wanted to lay on me if i was sitting but look out when I wanted to go to bed it was run around the house and play time.

A couple of them knead me all the time too... so hard it hurts :)

It deepen's on how the mother cat acted towar's the kittens when they were first born..Like my old cat I had when she gave birth she was a snot n got angry every time we will get one of her kitten's but her kitten's didn't turn out like her....Maybe what u should of done was give her n her kitten's affection at the same time or before they've open their eyes, so that way they would of gotten used to ur sent..So as they get older u have a better chance  having them obey you instead of you obeying them...lol

When my boyfriend and i got our cat, he was about 2 months old, and a shelter cat. He was a brat sometimes then loveydovey other times. He'd go from not wanting to be held, to curling up on my stomach when i laid down on the couch. Hes about 2 now and hes changed a bit, theres less times when he jumps away from loves, either that or i just haven't picked him up as often. Sometimes they grow out of it, sometimes they don't. Give your cat lots of treats (not necessarilly kitten food treats, maybe wet food if your cat typically eats dry food, or tunafish in oil thou not with the oil still in the food when u give it to him/her) and lots of attention, hugs cuddles, the whole 9 yards.

my cat was really shy and independent, scarred, and very aggressive when we cared him but he got used to it and started to love us and now we love him:) idk if your cat will be the same but i am pretty sure that it will change:)
