how long did it take you to get your splits (right, left and center) i have been streching alot and doing the splits every day is there anything else i can do???

  1. stretch right after you wake up when your muscles are warm they are easier to stretch.. and never stretch when your cold its easier to pull a muscle that way

  4. i still dont have any of them. actually my right comes and goes. but  i probably dont work hard enough at them considering how long ive been dancing.

  5. I'm still not able to and I've danced my entire life.  I'm almost 16 now.  I can do my right splits but my left and middle splits are just hopeless!  I'm just naturally un-flexible.  It kind of sucks.

  6. I can only do centers, but it took about 4 or 5 months.

  7. I've been doing right and middle since third grade, and I was unaware you could even do left. (I just never thought about it)

    It took me one try to do left, when someone asked me if I could.

    I think you should work on all aspects of your flexibility, as it will contribute to the split. (I mean work on kicks, etc.)

  8. put i pillow in between your legs untill you hit it...then pull it out and it will make you drop a little bit.

    dont do it on carpet because its not easy to slide

    put your arms up and reach so your not holding back.  let it hurt and hold for 2 min. each. do it 3 times a day each way you'll have them in like a week or 2.  if youve NEVER done them before 3.

  9. it depends you can only do a full center split if your turnout is exactly 180 degrees

    left and right, all you have to do is keep practicing, and stretch like maybe 4-5 times a day, and do this every day and in maybe 1 month you will be the split expert, to get better turnout just do the frog position, that is when you lay on your tummy, and do the butterfly, and just keep pushing your legs down, or do the regular butterfly, push your knees down to the floor hold it for exactly 30 secons-1minute
