Question:

All day sickness? please advise?

So I thought I was lucky and was not going to get "morning" sickness, well boy was I wrong. I just came down with all day sickness yesterday. I threw up 6 times, could not keep anything down and didnt even get to eat dinner, could not even ride in the car because I was that sick.

Any things I could try? I got to the point yesterday that I was STARVING but everytime I put the food up to my mouth I just could not do it because I knew five minutes later I would be throwing it up. Also I have really strong sense of smell and cant even smell meat or I want to barf. HELPPPPP

Today was a little better but Im still convinced my lunch is going to come back up.

I already know about saltieen crackers, slurpees, ice chips, water, ginger aile, 7 up , sprite, ginger cookies or crackers, and the normal stuff, any one know of some alternitaves to thease?

or just some really good drinks I could drink that will give me vitamins i need for the day.

  1. pepermint is good for an upset belly. instead of eating alot at once try a tiny bit at a time throughout the day and once it gets better (and it will trust me) start eating more little dinners throughout the day.

    keep a positive mind. dont think about what might happen. get into a positive state of mind before you eat


  2. Ive seen people try this and tried it once myself. a table spoon of maple syrup should INSTANTLY settle your stomach and allow you to eat! =] hope your better soon!

  3. I feel for you. I had the same thing from the moment I was pregnant until I delivered.

    My sense of smell was so strong and I would get carsick with myself driving-haha. I don't know how that is possible, but it was. I would go into preterm labor when I would go on bumpy roads-eek.

    Ok so the doctor has suppositiores. Ask about them because they are a lifesaver and safe in pregnancy. They an stop that vommiting and nausea. Also try things like preggy pops with are lollipops with ginger, try seabands which are these little cloth bands that go on your wrist that put pressure with a little plastic ball on the inside of the wrist that help with nausea.

    Other than that you just have to keep trying for different things and hope for a good day.

    Now baby will get what he or she needs regardless of what you out into your body. So if you do get a chance that you are feeling better then take some extra vitamins to replenish your body.

    I do highly recommend you telling your doctor that you absolutely can't keep anything down and you are miserable. Unless they know this they won't do anything for you and demand those suppositories. They really are a lifesaver.

  4. I've been told peppermint, even in the form of breath mints or to carry around a half of a fresh lemon and smell that when you start to feel sick. (haven't tried either yet but have been told by different people it works).

  5. You may be able to alleviate nausea by keeping some

    food in your stomach — by avoiding having a stomach that’s completely empty or completely full. Here are some other dietary suggestions for preventing or relieving nausea:

    Eat smaller meals or snacks frequently throughout the day.

    Before getting out of bed in the morning, eat a couple of

    soda crackers or a piece of dry toast.

    Rise slowly, allowing some time for digestion to occur before you get up.

    Have a small snack at bedtime and when you get up to go to the bathroom at night.

    Avoid foods and smells that trigger nausea.

    Drink fewer fluids with your meals.

    You should always try nondrug remedies first, since it's best not to expose your developing baby to any drugs if you can help it.
