Could an airline configure a cabin of all economy seats on a airbus a330-200? I know certain 767's cannot because of certain safety requirements & if they did want to it would require an extra emergency exit. Is this the same on the 330? I'm sure it already has 8 full door exits, so where would you put an extra exit?

  1. no. they cannot. I think they can turn all seats into economy except around 30 and get away with it. It cannot have full fuel load in that config.

  2. I don't know about the A330 but Japan Air Lines does it with 747's for domestic flights.  The greatest loss of life in a single aircraft incident was August 12, 1985 when one crashed near Mt. Fuji after takeoff from Tokyo killing 520, when the aft pressure bulkhead blew out and took out the hydraulics.  http://everything2.com/e2node/Japan%2520...
