All geared up for 2013: Adam Scott’s dreaded season comes to an end
Adam Scott, a professional Australian golfer, is one of the most prominent players on the Professional Golf Association (PGA) and the European Tour.
Scott is one of those golfers who bring charisma and grace when they walk on the fairways.
The six-foot golfer turned professional in the year 2000 and has, since then, won nineteen tournaments.
The 32-year-old has recorded wins on both, the European Tour and the Professional Golf Association Tour, something that reflects his talent.
His 2012 season started slow but the Australian once again proved his credentials by finishing in the top-10 at the Masters Tournament, for the second consecutive time.
In the U.S Open, the year’s second major championship, the 32-year-old player shared the 15th place. However, that was not the end of it as Scott went on to finish third in the
AT&T National, a tournament which was a build-up to The Open Championship.
One of the recent successes the Australian had recorded in 2011 was the WGC-Bridgestone Invitational. He demonstrated his golfing skills at the tournament.
Scott finished the first round of the tournament with a ten-under 62, which paved the way to victory for the tall Australian. He eventually went on to clinch the title.
The English professional golfer Luke Donald and the American professional golfer Rickie Fowler trailed Scott by four strokes.
With so much competition on both the Tours these days, it takes a golfer something big to stand out and make a name for himself. In a place where golfers are playing alongside one of the best
golfers in the world, there are always chances of an upset.
Scott has shown time and again what he is capable of, and how he can change the course of a tournament on any given day of the season.
With so many golfers contending for the title, it takes more than just luck to lead the scoreboard. It takes months of practice, continuous efforts and a drive to win, which pulls the player
towards success.
It will be worthwhile wait to see what the next year has in store for the Australian prodigy.
