What grade did you start wearing make up?

im goin into seventh grade and i want to start wearing mascara my mom said she would think about it so i dont know 4 sure if i am. i dont want to wear like eye liner and all the other stuff just pretty much mascara and eye shadow, i already wear eye shadow. any way i was just wonderin waht grade you were in when you started wearin makeup. thanks so much

if you're only in seventh

grade, you don't really need

to wear a whole ton of makeup,

because when you look back at

pictures you'll realize that you looked

kind of silly.

if you're gonna wear mascara & eyeshadow,

make sure you wear black or brown eyeshadow

(brown if you have light hair) that's not watery or

clumpy, and put on the eyeshadow the same way

you'd put on eyeliner - in a line.

I started in sixth grade. In seventh grade I turned rocker/goth and started wearing lots of eyeliner...not the best look.

  Now I just wear eyeliner, mascara, and eyeshadow. But not too much

8th grade. You have to be careful with mascara. (Bad choice if you have contacts, flakes can get in your eye.) Plus you can't pump the wand in and out of the tube. It could get bacteria in it and infect your eye. (yeah i know there's too many rules with mascara) Maybe you could bargain with a clear mascara at first. Then work your way up to normal.

I started wearing eyeliner in 6th grade but started wearing mascara and eyeliner in 8th grade. I think it will be okay to wear make up in 7th grade, just as long as you don't wear it heavily.

8th/9th grade

I'd recommend using a clear mascara/ vaseline on ur lashes (u can apply with a clean mascara wand which u can probably buy in a drug store or go ask for a spare one in a make up store). It may sound boring, but it makes ur lashes darker and they will look "prettier" and a bit more fluttery.

If u must wear mascara, get a brown one. I agree with the poster who said if u wear dark black mascara already in grade 7 u will look back at pictures and feel silly.

im going into 8th but i dont really wear makeup. there's an occasional day where i'll wear a bit of mascara and light eyeshadow but i always found it to be a bother because i have really sensitive eyes and skin heh. a little mascara for you should be pretty, just dont go over the top - there are a lot of girls at my school who wear loads and it ldoes not look the best.

most little girls start wearing make up around 6th or 7th grade... i started in 7th! Its all part of growing up! just don't over do it..... but also if ur mom doesn't want you to always remember mom's know best.... even if sometimes u don't think so! Some girls just really don't need make up!

I started in 9th grade. Trust me, 7th grade is wayyy too early to start but if you want, just apply lipgloss. The worst you can do now is try to look older than you really are buy applying make up at this early age.

I am starting 7th grade too. In 5th grade, my mom allowed me to wear lip-gloss and a light eyeshadow. I started wearing mascara in 6th. Just don't overdo it, you don't want to look like a clown/really cheap.

I wore a tiny bit of makeup in the 7th grade, and only a little bit....the key is to keep it very minimum...if u already wear eyeshadow then a little bit of mascara should be O.K...like someone else said don't over-do it and ask your mom for help or tips..if you put anything on your lips I would stick to clear gloss....hope that helps!

i tried to wear makeup in 7th but i wasn't allowed. i think when you get to highschool would be the best time to wear it. but that's just my opinion, standards have changed alot in the past years.

In sixth grade i started wearing eyeliner, but not that often. In seventh grade, I wore make up every day. So since you're going to seventh grade I think that it's fine and acceptable. + just for advice, eyeliner would look wonderful with mascara. If you don't know how to put on mascara, first curl your eyelashes first, then put on the mascara then use a eyelash comb to comb it out so it wont get all sticky and clumpy. Go to wal-mart to buy mascara because they have pretty good make-up. If you are more into designer make up, then shop at Sephora. Hope this helps :)

I started in 8th grade. But if you do wear makeup, just dont over do it. You dont want to look cheesy. And when you are putting it on, ask your mom for help, she probably knows way more about it and could help show you how to put it on!

I was in middle school probably 7/8th grade.  I wore some eyeshadow/mascara and tinted lipgloss.  

The main thing you should focus on is keeping your skin fresh and clean, get into a good routine of washing in the morning and night with a gentle cleaner (unless you have pimples already you don't need an acne cleanser).  Moisturize after washing with one that contains SPF so your skin stays healthy.  This will also show your mom maturity and that you can take care of yourself well.  

Whatever you do keep it light, pilling on make up just makes it look like you don't know what you're doing.

I don't wear makeup at all. I look good with and without, but I know that I'd always be worried about smudging it or something. I wore makeup for the first time in 7th grade. But before you go off to school wearing all that makeup, learn how to do it well. There are a lot of girls your age whose makeup is really badly done, so don't be one of them. If you're allowed, have your mom teach you.

I started in the 7th grade.  Don't overdo it, that's the big thing. It's more important at night than during the day, as the lighting will drain your natural colour.  Even today (many, many years later) I don't wear much make up and sometimes none at all.  At your age, I recall feeling like I had to wear it, everyone was, etc., but I certainly didn't need to wear it (looking back).

Also, don't forget to use a make up remover every night before bed.  Makeup getting in your eyes can damage your eyesight.  Also, it's vital that you NEVER share mascara and you toss it in the garbage every 3 months.  Something like 90% of all infections (colds/flus, etc.) are contracted through the eyes.

i started wearing make-up in 7th grade about half-way through. even then it was minimal, but i had pretty clear skin.i only wore concealer, blush, and a little powder. one of my friends told me i simply HAD to wear eye shadow, but i wouldn't recommend it if you touch your eyes a lot or wear contacts.

I started wearing mascara in 7th grade, and eye liner in ninth grade.. Try wearing a dark brown mascara...it has similar effects as black mascara, though it gives a softer look if you're younger. I see a lot of younger girls caking on the makeup becasue it makes them look more mature, but it doesn't!! Keep ti neutral and clean looking : )
