All hail “The Wizard”, Whitlock flushes Lewis out of the McCoy’s Premier League!
Simon Whitlock knocked out Adrian Lewis in week 14 of The McCoy’s Premier League Darts throwing him out of the League and out of his shoes.
Who would have imagined that “The Wizard” would stand tall and victorious against a giant like Lewis? It came as a surprise when the world witnessed the face-off between these darts magicians bringing out Whitlock as the better player.
It was speculated that Lewis would dominate the match and end Whitlock’s dream of entering the semi-finals. The bets have flipped upside down as the speculations have been crushed by “The Wizard” by an outstanding display of showmanship and charismatic play.
Phil Taylor was the biggest threat to Whitlock as if he would have lost in the face-off against Lewis then he would have faced “The Power” in the semi-finals.
"I was already in the semi-finals but wanted to win tonight to make sure that I avoided Phil Taylor in the semi-finals so I'm over the moon to have done that", said the Australian after flushing Lewis.
For Lewis, the start to the year has been disappointing. His form is at his career worst and is deteriorating day by day. Keeping his record in mind, Whitlock should have been a piece of cake for Lewis yet he over powered Lewis with ease.
Whitlock’s next target is Andy Hamilton who has been promising in this year’s League. Hamilton marked his place in the semi-finals by humiliating Kevin Painter 8-1.
Whitlock has been a delight in this year’s McCoy’s Premier League. His play-offs have been full of surprises and he continues with his magical touch by giving shockers all over the darts universe. He remains one of the most dangerous players in the League.
“The Wizard” can finally pull of a major title win this year by clinching the Premier League title. His form has been miraculous and his consistency is giving out a warning sign to everyone.
By throwing Lewis out of the League, Whitlock has shown potential of becoming the best in the darts world. If he continues with his current resiliency, he would go on winning the League and becoming the next big thing in darts.
