Question:

All-inclusive Mexican resort for 28 yr old single woman?

Hi everyone,

I've never traveled alone other than for business trips. I'm a single 28 year old female looking to travel to Mexico this Christmas in an all inclusive resort. I'd like to see the Mayan ruins and check out other tours.

Since this is my first solo trip, it'd be great to be in an environment where it's easy to meet others in the same situation.

Any good suggestions? My goal isn't necessarily to "meet" someone, but rather to check out as many activities as possible. Kind of like the same atmosphere as at hostels, but at a 4+ all-inclusive resort.

Thanks! :)

  1. GRAND XCARET IS A GREAT RESORT. GREAT SERVICE,PEOPLE AND THE ALL-INCLUSIVE PACKAGE IS GREAT. JUST 5 MINUTES FROM DOWNTOWN PLAYA DEL CARMEN.

  2. My husband & I stayed at the Hotel Casa Magna in Cancun...it was very beautiful, great food, friendly staff & very calm/peaceful. It can be all inclusive if you'd like, my husband & I chose not to.

But if you are looking to go to the pyramids I would recommend you stay in the Riviera Maya, it is closer to the pyramids & just as beautiful. I will be going to the Riviera Maya next year for a wedding. It will be my first time in that part of Cancun. It is only about 45 minutes away from the downtown Cancun party district.

If you prefer to stay in the Hotel district of Cancun here is a map to help:

You will be close to shops & you will still have the option of taking tours to the Pyramids, Xcaret. Xhel Ha..etc. The hotels have a tourism office & the tour busses pick you up outside your hotel.

Here is a map of the Riviera Maya:

These maps helped me sooo much in knowing which hotels are in the area & also helped me know about all the hotels so that I can research them before I picked one.

  3. Hi there,

Some really nice and popular places are the Oasis Resorts.

I put hundreds of people there every year. Food is good, pools and beaches are nice, clean and tidy. The staff are wonderful and always very helpful.

There are a choice of resorts, and when you have the All Inclusive for 1 you can use the others.

Oasis Cancun is the biggest, and will probably have the most partying etc over Xmas.

Oasis Viva Beach is the closest to the Party Zone and is currently being refurbished and having an extension built.

Oasis Palm Beach is also nice, with a beautiful beach, but you are more likely to find children at this one.

There are also plenty of other perfectly good resorts, but I have had absolutely NO problems at Oasis and highly recommend them.

If you'd like help with any of the tours and such like then please drop me a line.

    Al
