Question:

All inclusive question?

I'm 18, and upon checking into a all inclusive resort i know they ask for ID to see if you get the adult wristband so you can drink. do i have to show my passport? or am i able to show any Id, like student ID...standard ID or international drivers license?

i just don't like taking my passport out enless i absolutly have to

  1. depends where you are going--sometimes they require you to show your passport especially if you are out of the country--probably because they know what that is.  i assume other countries driver's licenses look different than american ones do and other countries may or may not have college id.

    I went last June and I'm 18

    I don't think they really care unles you look really young.

    And while there I didn't even wear my wristband most of the time and no one checked

    But it was a great vacation! Have fun!

I would call ahead to make sure of the resorts specific policy because it may vary.  A student ID will not work because they normally do not show age, are not recognized by governments, and can be easily forged.  A government issued ID or drivers liscense should be able to take the place of the passport though.
