All inclusive resort - dominican republic?

Question

im looking for an all inclusive resort in dominican for my boyfriend and I. We are looking for something along the beach between a 4-5 star, any suggestions?

we'd like as much included as possible..

thoughts?

I just came back from there yesterday, been there three times. There are two sides, the ocean (punta cana) and the sea (bayahibe).

   If you like water sports go the sea side. you can't go wrong with sunscape dela mar or Iberostar hacienda. If you are a pool lover sunscape in punta cana is great. should cost around 2300-2600 (10 days)  plus 500 pocket change for tours (40-80pp), tips, gifts.

  Dominican is a major vacation spot for the French.

In 2003 we went to dom rep stayed at the occidental allegro 4* hotel in playa dorada. it was on the beach and near a golf course. i think there were 6 resturants including mexican,italian, we couldn't get enough of the food it was fantastic. There was entertainment every night which was great for adults and children. i couldn't find 1 fault with the place all the staff were friendly and worked very hard. We went with 2 other couples it cost £900 per couple we had the best holiday i would love to go back but my bf likes to visit different places.Looking now the prices have gone up alot but if it is still the same you won't be dissapointed. It should have been made up to a 5*

In Puerto Plata you will find about 30 different hotels from 3 to 5+ stars. All depending your budget. I suggest you speak with your travel agent he/she will give you the best deal on a 4/5 star all inclusive hotel/resort.

I was recently at the Bahia Principe San Juan in Peurto Plata. It was an amazing vacation. The beach was nice, the pools were great, and the food wasn't bad. It was a 5* and I'm pretty sure I paid around $1800. As we went at March break, it was full of high school and college kids which definitely contributed to the wild party at night, but all in all it was a great vacation.
