All is not lost, feels Deccan Chargers’ Amit Mishra – Cricket News Update
Deccan Chargers’ leg-spin bowler, http://www.senore.com/Cricket/A-Mishra-c871, has said that despite losing all of their IPL5 games played so far, the team was quite positive and the players are looking forward to breaking the five-game losing streak when they play Kolkata Knight Riders
in the return leg of IPL5 at Eden Gardens on Tuesday, April 24, 2012.
The 29-year-old right-arm leg spinner said that they were trying to learn from their mistakes in the previous five matches and hoped for a turn-around on Tuesday night.
"No doubt we are on a losing streak but we are trying hard,” said the leg-spinner, who was leading wicket-taker for Chargers last season, but is yet to make an impression in the ongoing fifth installment of the lucrative league.
“There have been a few mistakes especially in the last few overs of a game. But we are trying our best to sort out the issues,” he added further.
The http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Delhi-c780-born leggie, who has claimed just five wickets in four outings at an average of 23.20, said that they have quite a number of novices in the team this time around, who are taking time to get familiar with the heat of the esteemed IPL.
“There are a few youngsters who are playing at this level for the first time,” said Mishra. “But all is not lost. Nothing is impossible. It's Twenty20 after all. I'm looking forward to contribute with fielding, bowling and batting," he added further.
Replying to a query regarding the Kolkata wicket, the leg-spinner said that the conditions at Eden Gardens suit his bowling well.
"I had taken four wickets on my last outing here,” said the Delhi lad, referring to the India-South Africa Test match in 2008-09. “I'm looking forward to bowl here again. I'm sure it would help my style of bowling," he added further.
