How does the media contruibute in this factor and mainly how does it affect the People and children..... how is it going to shape thier future.

The media shows us what is pretty and glamorous and people really get into it... I think it can give young girls low selfesteem cuz they think they arent pretty enough or thin enough or having enough s*x... everyone on tv is sexually active, no matter what the age... it is sad really.  I think the media is hurting our culture, taking away moral standards and promoting sin.  I think America is going to the gutter and will continue to go that way.

I think media dictates how we think on a subconscious level. Notice how in a lot of tv shows, the male protagonist is generally a failure at life, but has a family with a beautiful wife that seems to be out of his league and children. The Simpsons, Family Guy, Everybody loves Raymond to name a few. This give the message that no matter what kind of a slob a guy is, he is capable of succeeding in life.  This is just one example, I'm sure you can find loop holes like this all throughout the media. I'd suggest researching in advertising, because that is where media sells most of its ideas to us.
