  1. Let her get used to her new home, she just had a big change, and she must feel wierd

  2. That is normal. When we got my cat from the spca he did that for a few months. Food is a good way to gain trust with them. A bit of flaked light tuna, canned cat food or some cat treats. Your cat has been betrayed and abandoned by his previous owners. Gaining her trust will take time. What do you expect.

  3. give it time it was most likely abused or abandoned.leave trats for it close to where you are,it will come around sooner or later

  4. You'll have to be patient with the new cat.  If you try and chase her out of her hiding place, then she'll only withdrawl more.  Just try and do your normal routine and leave her water, food and cat box where she can find it easily.  Eventually she will come out looking for food and water.

New animals always take a while to get accustomed to their new houses, especially if there is already a cat that lives there.  And you didn't mention if your other cat is the jealous type of cat.  The two of them will have to get used to each other as well.

I'm sure in time the new cat will come looking for attention.  Good luck with her.  We have a new female cat as well that we have had almost a year and she still does not let anyone of us pet her for very long and she always runs away when we try to pick her up so some cats are just naturally like that.

  5. she is scared, or giveing birth

  6. Do nothing. The cat will make an appearance when it is ready. Trying to force it out will only cause the cat to retreat longer. Cats are creatures of habit. Sooner or later it will come looking for you. Just give it some time.
