  1. Start by cleaning your tank good.  Put the fish in another large container and completely drain and clean the tank.  Refill, condition the water and add the fish back in with as little of the previous water as possible.  There may be a disease lurking in that water.  You can get chemicals to kill several diseases at your pet store.  You can also test the water with a kit from any pet store to make sure the water is properly prepared for these fish.  The best possible investments you can make for your tank are these:  1.  a good filter system.. I have 2 filters for 60 gallon tanks on my one 55 gallon tank; one at each end.  You may think it overkill, but the tank is crystal clear.  2. Oxygen:  I use a 12" bubble bar on the floor of the aquarium to oxygenate the tank.   After that, research your fish and make sure you're feeding them when and what you're supposed to.  Good luck!

  2. hi what kind of fish????????? tropical? coldwater? marine? more info would be helpful

  3. that's what they do????????? die

  4. make sure that the water in your tank is treated with a good quality chlorine remover or leave it to stand in buckets with open lids for 24 hours prior to use so that it will evaporate. make sure when you put your fish in that the temperature is ok for the fish. use an imersion type heater to keep your tank at a regulated temperature. use a good quality water filter and keep to it's manufacturers service schedule, have some plants in the water to oxygenate it in the event of a power failure, have under gravel filtration and about 2 cm of gravel on top of it. make sure you are not overpopulating the tank. when your tank is up and running make sure you remove any food not eaten after 2 minutes. I know its obvious but don't put salt water fish in fresh water tank and vice versa. introduce your fish to the tank by keeping them in a bag in the tank for at least an hour so the water comes up to the same temp as the tank and the fish don;t suffer a shock. also make sure the fish have somewhere to hide a shelter of rocks etc. and large rocks or wood you put into your tank should be scrupulously clean (Scrubbed and boiled in fresh water for at least an hour) when the tank is healthy and has been running for a day without fish add your fish (as above in the bag you purchased them in, in the tank water for an hour before releasing them. only change 1/3 of the water in the tank when it is dirty or cloudy and leave at least 2 days before repeating. don't use harsh chemicals or bleach to clean your empty tank and rinse it thouroughly before filling. If in any doubt ask at library if you can get books or offer an hours free labor at you local fish market in exchange for free advice. be careful about which fish you put in together bigger ones may well eat smaller ones and good luck!

  5. When it comes to fish, you need to be careful exactly how much you feed them. They will eat everything you give even if it's the entire container and will die.

The pump you use to give them oxygen may also be a factor in this. If the pump doesn't work well or at all, they will suffocate.

Also you shouldmlook up whether they are freshwater fish, saltwater fish, etc. It greatly determines the type of chemicals you need to add to the water.

  6. it could be the water or the stuff that u are feeding it

  7. what species??..more specs..info??

  8. Post a bit more info- tank pics, fish pics, type of fish, marine? Tropical? Brackish? Species? The more info, the better quality of answers you will get

  9. How big is your tank?  What kind of fish?  Is your tank cycled?

  10. I personally think you should be thankful they are not dying, that would be awful.
