All of a sudden, camera went dead. Won't turn on.

Question

I just purchased my V530 Kodak and about two days ago, I used my camera to record small video and when I got home, it was dead...completely. So I tried recharging but nothing happens...it doesn't even make the sound it used to make when I inserted it into its cradle. Is this a common problem? I need some help, for I don't believe I bought warranty for it!
