All of my ice trays are plastic, is that safe? Are there any safe kinds of ice trays?

In the stores I always see plastic ones, is there a safer ice tray out there? Are there rubber ice trays and if there are, are they safe? I'm worried about the chemicals in the plastic. Is there such a thing as a stainless steel ice tray?

  1. I have never seen stainless steel trays but there are aluminum trays.  They work really good.

There are also silicone ice trays, but they would probably have the same possibly unsafe chemicals as plastics.

  2. Plastic ice trays have been proven to cause shrinkage of the p***s.  I recommend fashioning your own ice tray out of Copper Sulfate (Cu2S), which is perfectly safe (c.f. MSDS Cu2S).  I am a scientist.

  3. Plastic ice trays are FINE. I have used them all my life and i still have my three hands and two noses.

On a more serious note, there is nothing harmful about them. Also companies wouldn't produce such a product if it were dangerous.

  4. They are safe
