All of you Mayweather Haters keep saying he's scared to fight Cotto, BUT I DON'T HEAR OR SEE COTTO CALLING-

FLOYD OUT THE WAY HATTON DID!- If Cotto wants the fight, why hasn't he started making his case by calling Floyd out- why? because IT IS COTTO WHO IS SCARED!- YOUR THOUGHTS?

Cotto havent signed to fight Margo but he siad anyone his camp want him to fight he will fight. Why haven't he singed to fight Margo? PBF siad on youtube, " Cotto dont want to be put on his but". It was on one of PBF training. They say Cotto is calling him out but they say he's not the calling out person. Why are they making him the calling out person? Arum is doing all the talking. I wouldn't say Cotto is scared to fight PBF but he's not pushing the issue. We know everyone is waiting on PBF to lose. PBF didn't call out Hatton but Hatton called out PBF himself, not his camp or anyone else. These are all the guy's to beat PBF. We know Cotto, Margarito, Williams before he lost and Cintron before he lost again. Mosley and probley berto to. Lets be real, all these guy's have a chance to beat PBF. He can be beat. Cotto dont have to call out PBF, just beat top guy's they put infront of him. PBF dont have to call out Cotto, just keep his head in the game and stay in good shape. Trash talking is only to sale the fight, I realy dont take it serious. Cotto and Margo fight is having a problem with sales and Cotto wants the money. I guess he's learning from PBF.

Mayweather haters will never be satisfied, they are all jumping on cotto's band wagon now,but if he loses against mayweather tommorrow you will see them running their mouths the day after, they did it with castillo and mayweather beat him (twice), they said the same about corrales and mayweather beat him too, they said the same about judah and mayweather beat him too then they said the same about de la hoya and hatton and he beat them too as soon as he beats an opponent they always bring out someone else, heck even if mayweather beat the hulk they still wouldn't be satisfied, at this point i have given up arguing wih them.

After Cotto's fight against Alfonso Gomez, he was interviewed by Harold Lederman and he asked Cotto "Many people want to see you fight Mayweather Jr, do you think a possible showdown with him is possible?" "I am not afraid to fight anyone, Mayweather is a great boxer and I'm a great boxer, if the people wants to see us fight let's get a deal done. I will fight whoever my manager puts in front of me, wether it be Hatton, De La Hoya, Margarito or Mosley again I won't back down from anyone. If my manager or Mayweather Jr wants to call me out then I'll fight him any time" Cotto is not afraid to fight anyone and unlike Mayweather he is not cocky or arrogant (full of self conceit and grandeur) rather he is humble and sincere. Cotto doesn't talk much, he let's his fists do the talking. Mayweather claims he is the world's greatest boxer, he's not...what about Duran, Sugar Ray Robinson, or Sugar Ray Leonard or Marvin Hagler? In my mind, those are the world's greatest boxers. They took care of business professionally, they didn't claim they were the greatest, the people and fans worldwide gave them that title, Mayweather Jr. may be good but he is not great nor will he ever be great unless he's been given a piece of humble pie.

As much as i hate Money Mayweather i have to agree with that... Cotto has always been kinda a quiet guy but he seems to want no part of Mayweather....Arum seems to be the only guy in Cottos camp who thinks he can beat him and is the only one vocal about it....You would hope he would be more aggressive in trying to get a fight, like Trinidad was with Delahoya, but with Cotto so silent is it any wonder Mayweather feels no pressure to fight him .... it really seems pointless because i feel Cotto will be KOed by Margarito but when that happens Mayweather will probably give Cotto a  chance at the belt being damaged goods or delahoya will get a match with Cotto in a losers bracket...... but time will tell

Well by the looks of it, Mayweather wants to fight Cotto but apparently he's putting partial blame on Bob Arum, check out this video at the 2:30 mark. he makes a decent point.

Cotto doesn't say a whole lot, he lets his promoter and his fists do most of his talking.  Odds are good, if Cotto can get past Margarito, Mayweather will eventually end up in the ring with Cotto.  Talk is cheap anyway, it's what happens after the bell rings that matters.  At this point, fear doesn't enter into the equation, both Cotto, and certainly Mayweather have long ago mastered fear.  Now it's all about $$$ and the political moves behind the scenes in both camps.

whats up The Guru good question. I have been saying this forever and emanual stewart said the same thing. If cotto wanted the fight all he has to do is disrespect mayweather a little and he will get the fight. PEOPLE DONT REALIZE THAT IF COTTO DOESNT TALK SMACK THIS WANT MAKE A BIG FIGHT. Why should mayweather be the one tracking down opponents at this stage of his career. Mayweather is the champ not Cotto. Not much of a question, but you are right. I think Cotto wants to wait until Floyd hits the big 35 before he starts REALLY wanting a showdown.  As it stands now, Cotto would resemble a target on a machine gun range.

Guru- Floyd fought Hatton because he's smaller and he could beat him. And you can't even compare Hatton to Cotto! He fought a way past his prime DLH. And to be fair Floyd hasn't exactly called Cotto out either, so what's your point ? When he was asked directly about Cotto, by Lederman he stated, " Larry, I'm not going to let boxing retire me, I'm going to retire from Boxing!" Paraphrase- I'm going to go out undefeated and not fight Cotto.

What about when Margarito called out Floyd ? The deal was on the table and PBF backed out! What about Mosley ?? Again Floyd didn't want any part of the true welterweights.  Don't start hating on Cotto now. He's fighting everyone that is put in front of him including Margarito.

Floyd on the other hand places the people whom he is going to fight! Why DLH again ? He's going to beat him again! No point in this fight other than the money that's it!

My point is that these two are going to fight in '09. Then all the talking can stop!
