Okay. I just wrote a book and I am pretty young. Being a freshman, I am trying to "get my name out there" and get my book known. How could I possibly hint to teachers that I did this?

  1. just be discreet. let others/the readers decide for your book. if it's a good story enough, you'll be the talk of the town before you know it.

    sometimes, being hush-hush is better.

goodluck with your book and hope it becomes a bestseller.

    God bless!

  2. you'll want to make sure your book has the goods to make a name out there, otherwise it wont.

start by getting people to read it, people who can be strangers [because they give the most truthful comments] or people whom you know can write well.

if there are any comments, listen, and reread your book before deciding whether to do any final editing. and then let them read the book again.

chances are, they will tell their friends, who'll tell their friends, and on and on, if it's really good. when word starts circulating around, then your teachers will start taking notice of you.

  3. If you self-published, don't. While a book from a vanity press *can* be good, most often they're not. It puts your teachers in an awkward position if you bring it up to them, almost requiring them to buy it so they can praise it and you.
