  1. It's a little bit harder. You really need to work hard this year. Your junior year counts a lot. Do especially well in math and language. If you haven't already, get involved with sports or clubs. Two should be enough (as in, one sport and one extra club, or whatever floats your boat). Volunteering looks really good to colleges too (like at the library shelving books or at an old folks home). You should start doing things like that now so that by the time you're ready to apply to colleges you have enough clubs, volunteer hours, etc. Get involved. And DO NOT get into any trouble. Someone told me once that even detentions show up on your transcript! And have a good relationship with your teachers too. They write recommendation letters to college so be friendly, on time, and polite to your teachers.

And another thing. If you are still typing like that and have that kind of punctuation, there is no reason you should be entering the 11th grade :)

    Good luck!

  2. My junior year was my favorite year of high school (yes, including senior year). Take as many advanced classes as you can possibly handle, but be sure to get really good grades in them. The GPA that results from this year is the one that colleges will see, so make sure it is high! Also, busy yourself with extracurriculars (but remember to get good grades) and the colleges will be impressed that you've maintained such a good GPA with so much going on. Also, you have to take your SATs, so that's another thing you must prepare for.

But remember to have fun (good, clean fun) because you only go through your junior year once (hopefully)!

    Good luck!
