My wife says all her teeth hurt at the roots. It just suddenly started happening last week. She says the pain comes and goes in waves and massaging her gums/ brushing seems to make it stop for a while.

Anybody know what might cause something like that.

  1. According to Yahoo search, receding gum lines can cause this pane. Sensitivity toothpastes containing potassium nitrate can also help reduce tooth sensitivity. Sensodyne is the #1 dentist recommended toothpaste for sensitive teeth. These toothpastes desensitize the tooth nerve directly. Treating teeth with fluoride mouthwashes also can help reduce tooth sensitivity.

Personally, I've had sinus infections that have caused all my teeth to hurt at the roots.

  2. DO she have wisdom tooth? as wisdom tooth might cause infection or swelling of gum that make teeth pain..

If not, she might have eat too much heaty food too.. that can cause tooth to pain too.. this is in the view of the Chineses.. in the view of western doc..there might be infection or swelling going on..

What she can do, is do use mouth rinse, at least three per day.. to rnise.. do nto swallow.. it can help reduce swelling and figh infection..

also.. do not bursh her teeth so hard..It might hurt the gum

Also do drink carrot juice , natural honey..that can help fight infection and can reduce swelling..

Use salt water if you do not have mouth rinise..
