  1. Accreditation is a sticky subject.  Honestly, I could set up a site and say it's accredited by the "Central North American Prairie Distance Education Organization", and while it might fit the "accreditation standards" of either a fictional organization or another site I set up, that doesn't mean that it's regionally accredited.  There are several levels of accreditation; if you're spending money on something simply because it's accredited, go for something that's *regionally* accredited.

However, also be aware that accreditation is not necessary most of the time for high school.  Unless you're up for something like a sports scholarship that requires accreditation, almost any college or university will accept a homeschool transcript that your parents make.  They're looking more at your ACT/SAT scores, extracurriculars, leadership ability, and the rigor of your coursework.

Here's a link to PF's accreditation info, feel free to research it out.  http://pennfoster.com/diploma/certificat...

  2. Thanks for the info............Lady

  3. Hmm, personally, I'd be heaps more concerned about the way PF students are devaluing the Penn Foster brand, name and reputation (and consequently their qualifications) with their public cheating and plagiarising.

As already said: simple accreditation (or not) is not that big a deal out in the real world; there are plenty of other means available, all of which will get you the same result in the end.
