  1. all the signals are analog. even digital signals are analog in nature. we simply give some lebels to these analog signals for digitalizing them.

    Say,

from 0-2 volts, we say it is 0 in digital, and

from 3-5 volts, we say it is 1 in digital.

there are instruments which converts the analog to digital (A/D) converter and digital to analog (D/A) converter signals.

  2. A question I would like to reply in detail-

    1. All the parameters are analog in nature in the sense they hve a measurable value.

    2. to transmit them as it is causes signal loss and may add noise.

    3. initially transmission was in the form of superimposition as Amplitude Modulation(AM) & then Frequency Modulation.(FM).

    4. with the evolution of digital technoly, it is possible to chop any signal in corrosponding digital signal and reliably transform back when required.

    5. This has facilities of modifying, transmission in a bundle, codifying, process in a computer and many more.

All these make digital circuitry more versatile & popular.

  3. all the physical system are analog since it varies with time ..analysis is difficult so if v convert to digital ( (i.e) the dependent and independent are real)so analysis and accuracy will be more...

  4. any time you are dealing with things above quantum level it will always be analog, you just convert that to the closest digital approximation.

  5. You are wrong with this statement.  All electronic devices are NOT digital in nature, they are in reality analog.  Even the transistors that make up the digital circuits are themselves analog.  So the proper statement should be, "all the electronic devices are analog in nature, but they are converted into digital.  why so?"

The world is analog!  Everything in it operates analog.  The sun isn't up or down (digital), it is an arc that varies throughout the day.

The temperature isn't hot or cold. It varies all degrees in between.

The world is analog, therefore, you have to treat it as such.  To get the real world into a computer you have to convert it into a signal the computer understands- ones and zeros.  However, in order to do this, you must throw some accuracy away.  How much is a question you will have to decide.  That is why you don't want to digitize too early, or you end up having to guess and approximate, and that means errors and inaccuracies.

So, the world is analog and needs analog engineers.  This is becoming a lost art, as many engineers want to jump right into digital and ignore the fact that everything starts out analog.  They quickly digitize and manipulate the data to end up what they want to see- very often a poor representation of reality.

  6. Dear ma,

Thank you, am also fine like you then basically the had is only analog input but by use digital we achieve like we required.

  7. A digital signal is a form of analog signal. Its the fundamental plus all the odd harmonics

  8. Because analog signals are easier to interpret. A digital signal requires a processor to decode, whereas an analog signal can be interpreted using simpler technologies.
