... of retaining these old men. Sachin, Dada, Dravid failed again and that too miserably. I asked a similar question few days ago also and somdyuti (Y!A user) had too much to defend the so-called Bengal tiger. But he got out at zero again! Somdyuti had much venom against Dhoni and extreme appreciation for Ganguly. Its high time that we understand these oldies are past their prime and hence should make way for more focussed youth including Dhoni, right? Nothing personal against them, but they are proving to be a burden and a liability on the team. They do not contribute and make us lose. Viru is still not past his prime. He proved so in IPL also. But what about previous greats like Dravid, Tendulkar and Ganguly who should resign gracefully?

What do you say guys?

  1. It appears so.

True, the seniors have already done enough to look back with pride.

It is upto them Not to spoil it.

  2. Yes I agree with you that these players should bid goodbye to cricket as a player immediately.

  3. Dhoni averages 32. where as Dravid and tendulkar average 54+. Ganguly and laxman average 42+, Sehwag averages 52+, end of discussion.

You cant argue with Facts and Stats.

Dhoni is by far the least best on merit of Batting averages.

  4. every player can not give his best perfomance in every match or tournament. so you should not blame senior players because in finals our young team was also failed against sri lanka

  5. Why can't you guys let the Test run it's course before you start breast beating, forelock tugging and wrist slashing? What's to say that seniors don't win the Test in the 2nd innings or save it? Their is nothing that can be done about the team selection at this stage of the match, so watch and wait for a result.  Then people can make judgements, assertions and possibly fair commentary.

  6. SRI ....LANKA

    will

    WIN

5 wickets down in 20 balls ,..all the big guns back in the hut

it takes another 21 balls to get them all out

    Lol

  7. Just we can say they all are out-of-form.

    pkn

  8. so you think the newbies can do better like Rohit ,,Uttapattapattapattapa

    and Raina ,..

    .

  9. they have all gone old and nothing else they should take retirement

  10. I will answer your question but leave the Master alone. He is nothing to prove "less knowing peeps" like you & you have got nothing to ask a legend of his credibility.

DRAVID:Well.. After Ever Series.. I said to myself.. No.. He'll score big in next series.. next series.. But now Dere have been a lot of failures..

For a guy who averaged around 58/59 in 2004/2005.. ,Now he's really strugglin and d avg has dipped to 52/53..!

His combined avg in d last 5-6 test series.. Has been in 30s WHich is ordinary for a player like him..

in ODIs he was even worse.. So He was dropped on d basis of his performance...!

Believe it or not.. But Dravid is struggling...

BUt as one of d guys said.. Dere's no replacement for Dravid...

GUys like Rohit Sharma,Suresh Raina,Badrinath r not ready for tests as of yet....

Pray dat Dravid regains his form.. For he's a class act!

"~~~We must need Dravid for Australia series."~~

GANGULY : Chuck him out of team selectors....struggles against quality fast bowler n bouncer....looks lazy in the field

LAXMAN: dravid is technically very good batsman indeed...he is a class act...for me he is among the best in the contemporary cricket nd i must admit he is struggling like never before....the wall is definetly not looking good at the moment

but i hope he comes back

and i believe he has some years of cricket left in him!!

  11. Will you kindly stop dragging my name into this controversy? You are speaking as if I don't have the right to speak for someone.  I think Dada  has done a great job for India in the past. Who are you to say that I am right or wrong? Am I not entitled to have my own opinion? Please answer this. Similarly, you have the right to criticize ganguly and praise Dhoni as much as you like, but I really don't understand what enmity you are having against me, that you are mentioning "Somdyuti" so many times!  I've never misbehaved with any user on Y!A. That's why I am trying to just make you understand, that you need not mention my name, every time Ganguly fails to perform

I've been a Sourav fan ever since I've been watching cricket. What's your problem with that? Neither you, nor anyone else can change that! Every cricketer can go through a bad form. But one bad day can't change the fact that Dada, and the other seniors has served the team well for so many years.

If Sourav dada continue to fail, then he will be thrown out of the team soon. So, you need not worry about it. There are enough people who are willing to see the termination of his career.

Edit: I've the right to speak what I think is true. Who are you to stop me? And I speak against Dhoni, not against his fans! You can criticize Ganguly as much as you want. I don't mind that, but what irritates me is that you are trying to have a personal attack on me.

Edit 2: It's ok, and thanks for being considerate. The best thing to do is to always respect the opinions of others, and I sincerely try to do that. At the same time, I've full freedom to express my own views. No controversy hereafter. Good evening to you too!
