  1. heyyy

to ppl who said lebraro most middle school teams dont have them.

  2. Hey, relax and have fun, and don't push yourself too much :)

It is recommended that you go to one or two camps during the summer at any middle school (or boys and girls club) that offers such program.

Even you cannot find any camp, and you don't know anything about volleyball, if you show your coach that you are willing to listen and you can learn very quickly, you will be on the team.

For 7th graders, we try-out players to see whether they can pass, serve, or hit. If you can serve 6 out of 10 overhand from the end line, you are in. If you can serve 9 out of 10, you are guaranteed a playing spot. Some players cannot pass, AND cannot serve well, but they are tall enough to hit the ball (or say tip the ball), so we sub them in when good passers get rotated to the front row and sub them out when they get rotated to the back row.

We will assign the most experienced player as the setter, and we prefer to have two to three setters on 7th grader's team. They go for all 2nd hit unless they opt to call "help".

Hope this has enough information for you. Just relax and have fun. Trying to understand the game as much as possible is a good start. Remember how rotation goes and practice your serve from the 30-foot end line to get the ball over the net that is 7 feet 4 and 1/8 inches high.

Borrow some books from your local library would also be very helpful.

  3. Left, middle, and right side hitters.

Libero(can go anywhere in the backrow).

    Setter(right back).

    Left back(also an outside).

    Middle back.

  4. ok, here's the basics

left side hitter (front left, and back left if backrow- hits and blocks

middle (middle front)- hits and blocks

setter (right front)- sets sets sets!!

right side hitter (right  back or right front, depends on the formation)- hits and blocks

libero (middle back, some teams don't have one)- bumps

heres the basic rythm of the game- the other team serves, and the back row (mostly libero) bumps the ball to the setter, the setter sets the ball to the left hitter, middle, or right hitter.

i suggest going to a clinic or camp before trying out
