ESPN, WEEI, or anywhere for that matter. All this negative talk about Manny. I mean what do you honestly think about Manny Ramirez. Should he be traded? Would you trade him? Would you want him on your team? Give me some input.

  1. i think he deserves all the negative talk he's getting. he treats his team like he owns it and doesnt even deserve to be in the league. they should get rid of him.

  2. Hes a good player, sure, but no.  I would not like him on my team.  Hes cocky, from what I hear hes not a team player, and 1 out of 2 of those would limit a players chances from being on my team, with both, no way.

  3. Okay, who cares if I am in the minority I would take Manny in a heartbeat, as much as I love the season & comeback that Milton Bradley has had for Texas, I would give Boston Bradley, Gerald Laird, and Eddie Guardardo for Manny, and enjoy watching him & Josh Hamilton hit back to back in the incredible Texas offense--since we will NEVER get any pitching just outslug the he** out of everyone else.

  4. red sox fans will turn on him like they did damon....just watch and see.

  5. Besides the fact that he's not half the player he used to be and he's so dumb his sperm swim backwards. The sox won two world series with him, he'll probably be inducted into the HOF as a red sock and he's not having public affairs with other celebrities. There's isn't much sense in trading him and historically trading away their best player hasn't worked all that well for them.

  6. Even though I hate the Sox, I admit his shenanigans are getting awfully tiring and he's proven to be a distraction the Red Sox just don't need to have anymore. That said, you can't find anyone else out there with comparable skills. If I was in Boston's management, I'd recommend keeping Manny for the rest of this season, pick up his contract option and then try to get what  you can from other teams in the offseason. You can't let a player of Manny's caliber walk without getting anything for him.

  7. I'm a yankee fan so my opinion might be biased but here goes.  Manny is an outstanding hitter, future hall of famer, but he's a complete jag-off.  Should the red sox trade him?  No, for the simple fact that there is no one  as good as him, out there.  Even if there were, would you trade someone as good as Manny for Manny's skills and his asinine behavior?  I think not.  I think he is poison in the locker room, just like Barry Bonds, so I wouldn't want him anywhere near my team, even if I wasn't a yankee fan.  If Boston wants to make the playoffs or contend for the title, they'd best put up with his nonsense, and worry about trading for some bullpen help.

  8. Even though his actions are crazy and he can behave like he's a two year-old sometimes, I bet any team would rather have him on the team. He has a powerful bat, even thought he's clumsy on defense. He'll be suitable for most AL teams.

  9. manny ramirez has the worst attitude in any baseball player that ive seen.  just because he's manny he thinks he doesnt have to run out a fly ball. with a runner on first and him not running a pop fly to the out feild it can be an easy double play.  that was so funny when ho dove for the ball and missed it and started rolling on the floor. i would never want manny on my team (the yankees) i hope he gets traded to the national league so i dont have to see him as often

  10. I would not trade him. But if they do they should seriously consider then getting Bonds. Bonds will get another 7-10 home runs this season and bat about .275, and hes a good fielder. They should trade Ramirez for minor league outfielders then pull the trigger on Bonds.

  11. Manny is an idiot.  The Red Sox are a bunch of idiots so therefore, he should remain a Red Sox player until he retires.  I would not trade him.  I am a Yankee fan and I must admit he is the best right handed hitter in the game over A-Rod.  He is also a Yankee killer batting well over .400 against them.  If Boston trades for him, they better get an all-star team in return.  Oh, and being a bunch of idiots is not such a bad thing.  They win games so it's working.

  12. Manny Ramirez is a great offensive and defensive player. The problem is his attitude. If a player is that good but the team is ready to trade him that means that he has some terrible attitude issues. Manny threw an old man to the ground because he didn't get his way and missed an important game against the Yankees because he had a "soar knee". The team had x-rays done on both knees and both were fine. The Red Sox should trade him for the highest bid, I would if I were general manager for the Red Sox. I would want him on my team for his playing ability but if his personality got too out of hand I would once again trade him.
