All through history which has had more success queens or kings?

i know most of the kings and pharoahs where responsible for conquring and building there empires that way.

then queens where more peaceful and built alliances with countries.

like for instance was a queen better for england or a king?

The question is inherently biased because there were more kings, and they had more chance to achieve success.  But if you go on percentages, it would be Queens.  For example, Russian had three rulers called "great" - Ivan the Great, Peter the Great and Catherine the Great.  However there were only four female rulers in Russia, so greatness was running and 25%.for females as opposed to approx. 75 male rulers at 3% greatness.  In England, in her time Elizabeth I was called Elizabeth the Great.  There was one other ruler of England called Great, and that was Alfred.  There were/and are 7 English Queens, starting with the Anglo Saxons, post  Boudicca.  That puts greatness at 14.3% for female rulers as compared to approx 57 kings, running at 1.8% greatness.  The best known rulers of England/Britain are Henry VIII, Elizabeth I and Victoria.  Women have fame at a 2/1 ratio.

depends on your definition of success, I guess.  I would consider that peace & prosperity are more important than war & conquest.  In that regard, more Queens have been successful--going straight back to ancient Egypt (Hatshepsut).  Some Chinese Empresses have been very successful, too, and Elizabeth I of England is of course the prime example of a good monarch.  Of course, it's not strictly black & white.  Mary I of England & her cousin Mary of Scotland weren't very good rulers, for example, and Casimir of Poland was a wonderful one.

males have always been regarded as higher. a queen coming to power was a lot of the time, unheard of.

Queens Victoria, Elizabeth I and Elizabeth II have done very well,but there were also Kings who served admirably as well, like the present Queen's father George VI.
