The best part of a cruise for us is the ship. Any trips like that. No ports.

  1. Cruiselines normally offer "cruises to nowhere" when there are brand new ships out...they usually do inaugural cruises on the East Coast from NYC and Miami and sometimes at ports in between such as Baltimore, Newport News, and Charleston.  I've been on a Carnival cruise to nowhere from Charleston, SC before and it was fun...2 days, 1 night...the ship goes out far enough to be in international waters so that the casinos can open...and for like $199/pp or so, it includes your cruise berth, all meals AND drinks, usually.  I'd keep an eye on both Carnival's and RCCL's websites.

  2. I understand what you mean.  For us, cruises to nowhere are usually too short.  Our normal routine is to enjoy the sea days, and ignore the ports, especially Nassau.

  3. Cruises to nowhere are too short, only a few days long.  What you really need to look at are repositioning cruises, especially trans-Atlantic cruises.  Lots and lots of days at sea, and just a few ports.  Great thing is, these cruises are often cheap for this reason.  You get a nice long cruise doing what you want, and you pay less.  What a bargain for you!

  4. i'm not a travel agent but... have you thought about taking a cunard QE2 cruise from Portsmouth to NY?  The entire week is at sea.......

  5. NCL tends to have a lot of cruises to nowhere.  They have a lot of 1-nighters starting in September.  Carnival starts some 2-nighters in October from New York or Norfolk.

You can do searching on my website www.CruisersParadise.com and search for 1-2 night cruises.

Let me know if I can help you further.

  6. I am not a travel agent. However, I found this great website with discounted cruises. Just click the "return to same port" option. Enter dates of travel and you will get alot of choices.

  7. Hi I am a online travel rep. Go to http://www.bbcarefreetravel.com and go to book travel, or send me an e-mail directly with the information and will look it up for you.

  8. there are lots of cruises that sail to no where and come back and for cheep.

  9. I believe Carnival cruises has a trip to nowhere but it's only a two day cruise from New York to Norfolk, VA. I believe that it is on the ship the Carnival Victory.
