All truckdrivers plz read?

first off i live in VA and I'm married. I'm interested in becoming a truck driver but I'm a little skeptical. ive read several sites but i don't quite believe all they say to be 100% true. could i get a little help from y'all. if I'm a team otr driver how often will i be home? will a company really pay for my training and if so are they going to somehow s***w me? and any other advice, insight, or comments welcome
