If yes - do you spend the whole time getting 'all you can eat' ?

whats your opinion of the food ?

Do you feel you get your monies worth?

anything else noteable ?

Just wondering as my friends want me to go one but I am wondering about the quality of food and also if I will get my moneys worth....

  1. THEY ARE just a way of making us lose control over out eating and making us "pig out"?

  2. There are all kinds. Have you ever had a Brazilian buffet?

They cost $29 per person lunch time and $50 per person dinner time!!! BUT...they are absolutely delicious food...

you can eat as  much salad as you can,,,PLUS ...as much beef, pork, chicken, sausages, even fish !! as much as you can!

the only other things you gotta pay for are DRINKS or even the

SOFTDRINKS...the only other thing you dont need to pay is regular water ... but my fella, delicious! youbetter try! believe me!!  good luck! these restaurants are in most big cities.

  3. All you can eat buffets are not bad if done in moderation. Most of these restaurants offer a wide variety of foods, from salads to deserts and everything in between and there are soft drinks which are available in diet also, generally it is one price for all the things and you do get your monies worth for sure because most other restaurants charge you seperately for drinks.

  4. Alll you can eat buffets are fine if you want to gain 25 lbs in a month or two....everyone has a tendency at those kinds of places to load up their plates and eat like a wolf and pour down the pop with it.......the food is decent at most of them but loaded with fat and calories for taste......they want you to come back for more!!!

Avoid those places like the plague unless you want to gain a lot of weight.

  5. Usually, they serve you alot of c**p.  After all, its all you can eat.  I ate at one buffet where the chicken was chewey and dried out and the beans made me sick to my stomach. Even the Pepsi tasted bad.

  6. Well ,they are generally ok, I only eat the food I like.I think they are good if we  dont over- eat.

(Then we  dont or wont put on too much weight.)

    May I say,just go & enjoy yourself.?

  7. i stopped eating there. i usually get sick. i'm not sure if it's cuz i eat too much or the food isn;t cooked well. but when i go i usually eat at least five full plates

  8. I personally don't like the idea of someone else picking over my potential food. Also, I know from friends who work at them that a lot of food is left out for quite a while and isn't fresh. It may seem handy to go to an all-you-can-eat place when you and your friends can't agree on what to eat, but it's generally not worth it.

  9. My husband and I go to Chinese buffets about once a month. They are nice because you can sample items you might want to try without ordering the entire dish. We've also been to buffets with only american food.

Buffets are also nice for people with different tastes or for people bringing children because they usually have options like pizza, chicken tenders and ice cream (even at the Chinese buffets!)

It usually isn't high quality dining, but is nice every once in a while. I don't have a problem over eating because I am not worried about "eating my monies worth", but instead eating until I am satisified. My husband on the other hand eats more than he should so that the can get his monies worth.

I would suggest starting out with a big salad and some fruit at the beginning if you are worried about going overboard. Give it a try sometime!

  10. personally, i hate them and it's been many years since i have went.

the food is never as good as at a regular restaurant where they serve. so then you DON't get your money's worth.

then there is also people picking at food with their hands sometimes or sneezing near the buffet.

  11. Depends, I have used them as meeting places,for passing friends. Eat all y/c was never an issue,the surroundings and set out of the venue were of importence. the cost needed to match the quality of food. most that i have visited tend to deliver value for money! IF you are after,something for nothing,go sing on the streets. Regards;

  12. i go 2 2 a week a chinnese 1 everys saturday food is tremendus worth  more than i pay i aint fat and other is cavery is lush to i hsve coke for drink

  13. Waste of effort. The food's okay, but after I'm stuffed from eating two meals' worth, my stomach hurts. Later, when I'm very hungry, my stomach hurts again. If I keep eating, later my back hurts because my gut is pulling on it.

  14. the food is horrible, no where near as good as the regular menu type places where they're cooking a few servings at a time instead of cooking for an army all the time.

  15. Try it you'll like it.

Buffets are a good place to try all sorts of food. Yes you will certainly get your moneys worth.

Go to a nation-wide chain as they usually have higher company standards than independent stores.

Go in on an empty stomach and look at all the options before you choose anything (don't miss eyeing the desserts before you'll meal as you will regret not leaving room for dessert.)

Call the store and ask them what their busiest time is (probably 530-730 pm) and go in 1/2 hour after their busy time is over. The food will be fresh as they will need to replenish after the rush.

Take your time when you eat - let yor food digest.

    Have a good time.

  16. you've never been to an "all you can eat buffet"???

it's not like you have to spend over 50 bucks for a meal there, dont be too cheap

  17. Not a fan of buffets. It's quantity instead of quality. I'd rather pay twice as much for one plate of excellant food then have three plates of "just okay" food. Some people on the other hand love them. The one exception to this for ME is breakfast. I feel like you can't go wrong with a breakfast buffet.

  18. I love em! well it depends on how much you eat if you get your monies worth. the quality i think is pretty good. the only downfall i find is that you don't have any leftovers for another meal. Its a great time to try something new you wouldn't normally get because your scared your not going to like it. I hope this helps.
