Tom .Yes in line with the Qur'an surah 86 At Tariq verse 5 upto 7,the sperms come from between backbone and the ribs (chest bones) it is true.Allah is always true because Allah knows everything including the ghaib which can not be seen by humans.Allah will never make a mistake. Allah is All-Knowing.

Science can make mistakes and often does.

Allah doesn't.

Anyway, this question didn't need any 'scientific evidence'.

It's a very simple observation.

A man's sexual organ is between his backbone and two ribs.

scienctist didn't know there was a crack in the moon but we did, since it's written in Quraan one of the Hadiths, that moon was split in two.  but when armstrong got on the moon he saw that crack that went all around.  but scientist had to hush hush that because they didn't want to look stupid.  

it took them yrs of research, and now they say it's good for you to put your right foot in first then left foot when putting on pants, and right hand first and left hand next when putting on a shirt, since that motion exersices the kidneys.  but we knew because we are suppose to follow hadith.  

scientist discovered there's a disease that exists in Cucasions in the back of the neck, sorry don't know the name, which non of the muslims have since we read Salat with wudu, and wudu is what keeps us from that disease.  

and so on and so on....there are lots of evidance.  of lots of things...

all you need to remember that Allah HAS HIS REASON IN EVERYTHING, it takes us a while to figure it out.  and Allah's reason are very logical. and Science is all logic.  so don't worry they will come to know

First of all God didn't say this, Muhammed did and it is another fallacy of the quran in proclaiming scientific proof that God spoke to Muhammed.  As you know the passages about this in the quran have been proved to be wrong.  I sincerely doubt that God would have gotten it wrong, since He was the One who created us.

1. As Dr. Zakir Naik writes:

In embryonic stages, the reproductive organs of the male and female, ie. the testicles and the ovaries, begin their development near the kidney exactly between the spinal column and the eleventh and twelfth ribs. Later they descend; the female gonads (ovaries) stop in the pelvis while the male gonads continue their decent before birth to reach the s*****m outside the body through the inguinal canal. Even after the embryonic stage after the decent of the reproductive organ, these organs receive their nerve supply and blood supply (from the Aorta) and lymphatic drainage which is in the area between the backbone (spinal column) and the ribs

2. As Moiz Amjad writes:

although the male sperm is formed in the testes, yet the blood supply which, obviously, is integral to the making of the sperm comes from between the ribs and the back...the cells that form the sperm originate from between the ribs and the back. If this is true, then the words of the Qur'an are not scientifically incorrect, as the words "emanating from a place between the (lower) back and the (lower) ribs", do not necessarily imply "emanating in its final shape" only, but can also cover "initial emanation".

The argument put forth by Dr. Zakir Naik is such a joke.  Obviously sperm is coming from an adult, not an embryo so the early development excuse has nothing to do with what the quran says, lol.  Science should be believed.
