The 58-year-old tactician has urged his troops to put in their 100 percent in their upcoming English Premier League games to claim successive wins if they are to better their position in the league standings.
West Ham United head coach, Sam Allardyce, has expressed confidence that his side can climb up in the Premier League standings with successive wins in their upcoming encounters against West Bromwich Albion and http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Everton-c13019.
The former Blackburn http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Rovers-c40385 boss has insisted that back-to-back wins always helps a team to climb up on the table, quoting the example of Stoke City, who managed to win three of their last four Premier League games to climb up to ninth spot on the table.
“If you can pick up a couple of wins back-to-back or get a few points in the bag you can climb the table. You saw recently with Stoke, who had not won away from home and had drawn a lot of their games, all of a sudden they strung two or three wins together
and they are back at the top end of the Premier League”, Allardyce was quoted as saying to the club’s official website.
The Hammers will lock horns against West Brom in their upcoming league game at the Hawthorns on Sunday, December 16, and the 58-year-old tactician has admitted that the Baggies have been playing brilliantly for the past few weeks, though, they have failed
to get results in their favour.
“I think they are still playing well and competing very well. At this moment in time, they are still playing very well but results have not matched the performances they have given”, Allardyce added.
The Baggies, who are sitting at the sixth spot on the league table, are heading into the upcoming game against the Hammers on the back of three defeats in a row, and the former Newcastle Unite boss has insisted that his side will look to take advantage of
it.
“Three defeats on the trot may put a little bit of doubt in their players and if that's the case we have to try and exploit that”, Allardyce concluded.
West Ham are currently occupying the 11th spot on the Premier League table. However, only four points separates them from the fourth placed, Everton.
