Massimiliano Allegri, the former head coach of the Cagliari outfit, has gone on to comment on their struggles so far and reflected that they would strive to compete.
The head coach of the Rossoneri outfit was close to getting the boot when the results were not going in their favour, and the coach has conceded that he ran the risk of being fired this term, but he hopes that the team is able to pull their act together
and look to perform to the best of their abilities in the upcoming term, and have a strong finish to the season.
The Rossoneri outfit went on the most terrible of starts in their Lega campaign when they failed to secure victory in their first match at home; they lost the match to Sampdoria by 1-0, and that caused a downward spiral for the club from which they were
not able to get back until recently. However, despite his domestic results; the departures at the club during the past summer transfer window did little to help his cause as well.
The Diavolo outfit bid farewell to 13 players during the summers, and these included the likes of legendary players like http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Filippo-Inzaghi-c13777. The Senators, as they are more commonly known in the Rossoneri
circles, left the club along with their leadership skills; and there was no one who could fill their boots. This is even more prominent when they sold their two most influential players to Paris Saint-Germain; when they accepted their bid in excess of 60 million
Euros for the services of http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Zlatan-Ibrahimovic-c38029.
It was a novice squad taking on the expectations of the fans of the club of the stature of Milan, who expect the team to compete for the title each season. While commenting on the situation, Allegri went on to comment:
“I think the club did well because they could have changed Coach in a moment of difficulty. When results are missing then it is the Coach who pays the price. We know that we can’t fix the League table in a month or a game and we are aware that we have some
really important matches from now until February.”
AC Milan have finished the winter break in the seventh place of the Serie A standings.
