Allegri demands consistency from his team and predicting a tough November: Serie A news
A.C Milan manager, Massimiliano Allegri, has urged his players to continue their impressive form to challenge for the Scudetto.
The Italian Champions witnessed a slow start to the 2011/12 season but have started to gather pace slowly and steadily. The Rossoneri have won their last two games against Palermo and Lecce respectively.
Milan will host Parma in their 8th fixture of the season on Wednesday, 26 October 2011 at the Stadio Giuseppe Meazza. Allegri is predicting a tough November and believes that the next month will decide where the league
table is heading.
The former Cagliari boss has urged his players to carry the winning momentum as it will help them to compete in the league.
While talking to the reporters, Allegri said, “The League table will start to break up over the next two rounds. We have to be in an excellent League position before the November break and we need to wrap up Champions League qualification
as soon as possible.”
The 2011/12 league season has witnessed one of the most competitive starts since a long time. Only seven points separate the league leaders, Juventus, with 14th placed Fiorentina. Allegri believes that the league standings
have been very balanced so far and his team can easily claim the top spot.
The 44-year-old won the Scudetto in his first year in charge of the club and is hoping to defend the crown.
“The championship is very balanced. I thought that we could catch up with the teams in front and we just have to continue on this road. We have an important objective and that is to return to being favourites for the title.” added
