Allegri hails the win over Lecce and looking forward to the Parma game: Serie A news
A.C Milan manager, Massimiliano Allegri, has praised his team for a wonderful fight back against Lecce at the Stadio Via del mare on Sunday, October 23rd, 2011.
Milan were trailing by 3-0 at the half-time but a remarkable hat-trick from http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Kevin-Prince-Boateng-c20792 inspired them to win 4-3. Allegri revealed that he did not lose hope despite going three goals down and urged his players to have belief in themselves.
The tactician praised his team for showing great character in the second half and they proved that they are still the best team in http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Italy-c2926.
“At the interval I just told the boys that they had to put the first half to one side and that they had 50 minutes to play at 1,000mph and to play like Milan. We showed great character and it was a sign of our strength, but let’s hope that was just a blip. It’s obvious that we have to concede less goals, but the important thing was to win the game.”
The 44-year-old has urged his players to shift their focus on their next league game and they must carry the winning momentum. Milan will host Parma at the Stadio Giuseppe Meazza on Wednesday, 26 October 2011.
The former Cagliari boss heaped praise on the opposition and is predicting a tough game for his side. Parma have had a slow start to their league season but they have already beaten Napoli at the Stadio San Paolo. Allegri is aware of this fact and has urged his players to take the game seriously as Parma is a dangerous side.
“Parma didn’t deserve to lose on Sunday against Atalanta. They played well at http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Napoli-c40003 too, whereas their only bad match was at Juventus. They have a lot of quality and they never stop running. It’ll be a difficult game.”
Allegri revealed that star defender, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Mark-van-Bommel-c24148, could be rested for the game.
The Italian Champions have picked up 11 points from 7 games played so far.
