Allegri happy with the win against Palermo and predicting a tough November: Serie A news
A.C Milan manager, Massimiliano Allegri, is happy with the win against Palermo and is predicting a crucial month for his team.
Milan won 3-0 against Palermo over the weekend and Allegri is delighted with the victory. The Rossoneri have had a poor start to the 2011/12 season and Allegri believes that the win over Palermo is a great response after a humiliating
defeat against Juventus before the international break.
The 44-year-old admitted that his team played poorly against the Turin giants but the two week break helped them to recover.
The former Cagliari boss believes that November will be a very crucial month for his team’s domestic and European journey this season.
Allegri told the reporters, “We got the game against Juventus wrong and that is also down to the merits of Juve. But we have time to recover in the championship and a nice victory arrived on Saturday. Yet the month ahead will be
key for the championship and the Champions League.”
The tactician also hit back on critics and believes that despite winning the league last season, the critics forgot that and turned Milan into a poor side after a slow start in the opening few games.
“The criticism of us this season? It seemed as if Milan had turned into a poor side, but that hasn’t changed my evaluation – or that of Vice-President http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Adriano-c3773 Galliani – of the team.”
Allegri also took time to praise inspirational striker, Robinho, who made his return from the injury after missing his team’s opening few matches of the season. The Brazilian was inspirational in reclaiming the Scudetto for his
side in the last season and marked his return to the first-team with a goal against the Rosanero.
“http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Alberto-Aquilani-c4313 is a class player who still has to settle even if he played well on Saturday.”
The manager is not sure of the players he will pick for the game against BATE and admitted that only goalkeeper, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Christian-Abbiati-c9046, is a certain starter. Group leaders, Milan will play BATE at the Stadio Giuseppe Meazza on Wednesday,
October 19th, 2011.
