Allegri hoping for a long stay at A.C Milan and all-praise for Cassano: Serie A news
A.C Milan manager, Massimiliano Allegri, has insisted that he intends to stay at the San Siro for a long time.
However, Allegri insisted that his stay at the club depends on how well the team plays and results come. The former Cagliari boss won the league title in his first managerial year with the Rossoneri and ended their seven year Scudetto
drought.
The 44-year-old insisted that he feels honoured to manage a club like A.C Milan and he wishes to stay here for many more years to come. Allegri insisted that he had a great start to the last campaign and won the league and this
time they have already won the Italian Super Cup and is hoping for a repeat of last season.
While talking to the reporters, Allegri said, “I hope so, because Milan is a great club. I'd like to stay a long time, but it always depends on the results. Last year we started well with the Scudetto and now we have also won the
Supercoppa, and we hope for a repeat this year.”
Milan have had a poor start to the 2011/12 Serie A season and have picked up only 5 points from 4 games thus far. Allegri is staying optimistic and is hopeful that the team will return to their best once they are over with their
injury crisis. Milan are missing as many as ten of their first team stars through injury and have suffered dropped points as a result.
The tactician has heaped praise on striker, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Alexandre-Pato-c4901. Allegri is happy to have the former Sampdoria star in his team despite
several rumours linking him with a move away from the club.
“Cassano is doing very well. There was talk about him in the summer because it seemed he was leaving. Instead, we are very happy, because it was also still Milan's intention not to sell him.”
Milan will take on Viktoria Plzen in their next game in the UEFA Champions League on Wednesday, September 28, 2011.
