Allegri not satisfied with the team performance despite a comprehensive win: Serie A news
A.C Milan manager, Massimiliano Allegri, is not happy with his team’s performance despite a comprehensive win over Parma.
The Italian Champions thrashed the Gialloblu 4-1 at the Stadio Giuseppe Meazza on Wednesday, October 26, 2011. Summer signing, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Zlatan-Ibrahimovic-c38029 scored the other goal. The win takes Milan
to the 5th spot in the league table and they now remain only two points behind league leaders, Juventus.
Allegri insisted that his team had a decent game but they could have done much better. The tactician is delighted with the win as it keeps them in contention of defending their Scudetto. Milan cruised to their third consecutive
win of the league and Allegri believes that consistency is key to his team’s success.
Allegri said, “We had a decent game, but could’ve done better in certain moments. It was important to win and give a sense of consistency to our recent results, especially as the table is beginning to stretch out and so it was
crucial to stay close to the top.”
The 44-year-old admitted that his team failed to create chances in the first-half and had poor 30 minutes. The former Cagliari boss added that once his team broke the deadlock, they looked sharp and hungry to score more.
Allegri is not happy with the defensive work in the game and believes that his team gave the opposition too much space to shoot from distance.
“When you play every three days it is natural to feel a little tired. We were sluggish in the first half, then picked up after breaking the deadlock. When the lads play the way they know how, it’s difficult not to create scoring
opportunities. However, we still allow our opponents too many shots from distance.”
The boss praised the hat-trick hero, Nocerino, and believes that the former Palermo star has settled in really well at the club. The Naples born midfielder joined the Italian Champions in the summer transfer window from Palermo
for a bargain price of 500,000 Euros.
Milan will take on A.S http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Roma-c31603 in their next game at the Stadio Olimpico Rome on Saturday, October 29, 2011.
