Allegri ruing refereeing decisions against Napoli and praises Udinese for the start: Serie A news
A.C Milan manager, Massimiliano Allegri, believes his team were robbed by refereeing decisions in the 3-1 defeat to Napoli and all-praise for Udinese.
Edinson Cavani’s hat-trick helped http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Napoli-c40003 to trounce Milan 3-1 in the second league game at the Stadio San Paolo on Sunday, September 18, 2011. The Rossoneri are yet to taste a win in their opening two games of the season and face
a tough task against in-form Udinese, who have picked up wins from both of their games so far.
Allegri believes his team played well against the Azzurri but made a few mistakes defensively. The 44-year-old is also ruing the refereeing decisions which went against his team and believes that the result could have been different
had it been otherwise. However, the former Cagliari coach has insisted his players to improve their game and stay focused for their future games.
Talking to the reporters Allegri said, “We played well with a few mistakes and were penalised by refereeing decisions. It’s true that we have to improve, be more focused and embrace the spirit of sacrifice, though,”
The manager is also all-praise for Francesco Guidolin’s men for a great start to the new campaign despite losing some of their main superstars during the summer. Udinese have picked up 2-0 victories in both of their opening games
and are yet to concede a goal. Allegri believes that his team cannot afford to make a single mistake against the Bianconeri as they will make them pay for it.
“The Friulani are doing very well, as are Cagliari, Napoli and Juventus, plus can be proud they have not yet conceded. We’ve got to be wary, as at the moment we are paying a heavy price for every single slip-up. There’s no point
looking at the table now.”
Milan are expected to field the same line-up as they did against Napoli due to a long injury list. The game will take place on Wednesday, September 21, 2011 at the San Siro.
