The Rossoneri tactician not happy with his team’s second half performance and all-praise for Di Vaio
A.C Milan manager, Massimiliano Allegri, has claimed that his side was robbed by the refereeing decisions against Bologna.
The Rossoneri were held to a 2-2 draw by Stefano Pioli’s side at the Stadio Dall’Ara on Sunday, December 11th, 2011. Allegri claimed that the referee got majority of his decisions wrong in the game and both teams were
equally damaged. Milan had several penalty shouts turned down in the dying minutes of the game. The former Cagliari boss admitted that Clarence Seedorf handled the ball in the box but the Bologna player was not fouled for a similar incident.
“Looking back at the footage, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Clarence-Seedorf-c9275 did seem to handle in the box, but towards the end there was an identical handball not awarded for us. In any case, the referee got it wrong for both teams, so it wasn’t one-way the
same we suffered against Fiorentina.”
Allegri slammed his team’s displays in the second half and admitted that they were really sloppy with possession. However, the 44-year-old did not take away the credit from the hosts and believes that they played some great football
and they deserved to take something from the game. He also went onto praise experienced striker, Marco Di Vaio’s performances and believes that he was the real difference between the two teams.
“Our second half was not up to the task, even if we had a few good chances towards the end. Bologna played very well to earn the result with real determination. http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Marco-Di-Vaio-c23689 was excellent at moving between the centre-backs and
Bologna were very rapid on the counter-attack.”
Allegri admitted that his team did not deserve to take all three points as they made some sloppy mistakes throughout the game. Milan squandered a great opportunity to go top of the league table as Udinese’s win against Chievo Verona
helped them to sit on top. Milan now sit 3rd in the table after picking up 28 points from 14 matches played thus far. Milan will be hoping that Juventus also drop points, as they will take on A.S http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Roma-c31603 on December, 12, 2011.
