Allen Iverson is somebody!?

i red a question earlier,saying that why people talking about iverson like he is somebody,

are you watching NBA games for not knowing Allen iverson??

maybe you're a KOBE of Bron sort of fans...

you admire KB24 because he can score and plays like MJ

as well for bron fans out there

when you talking about the scoring and offense like that

KB is still far from AI averages

Kobe is better then AI...

Kobe is a better scorer...the only reason Kobe's averages aren't as high is due to him coming out of High School, and playing with Shaq in his early-mid years...

Overall, Kobe is a much better player then AI.

AI is just a scorer...you might think he's a good passer (due to his 7-8 apg this year) but when you have Melo on your team it's easy to get assist...

With that said AI is still an AMAZING player and he will be a HOF for sure...

A.I is awesome he can do pretty much anything. He is so small but he is not afraid to take it up against anyone, he averages so many points but also shares the ball as well (despite what haters say). He is incredible and one of my favorite players by far!!

Allen Iverson is ball hog .. who shoots very low % ... 42% career..and not very good teammate.. on the court and in locker room

A.I 's career average FGA is 22.6 with 9.3 FTA per game and average PPG is 27.7

Kobe's career average FGA is 19 with 7.7 FTA per game and average PPG is 25

A.I's FG % is 42.6 % and 31.4 %  from 3 point with 78% from FT

KB's FG % is 45.4 % and 34 % from 3 point with 84% from FT

So of course A.I has higher PPG average with taking 3.6 FGA and 1.6 FTA more than Kobe ...

But he is warrior

Hooklinesinker - don't be moron .. look at their FGA's and their FG % and .. Considering that A.I is not good leader and he never made his team mates better .. and he can't even get out of 1st round with Melo

and about the Assists .. he handles the ball so much .. of course he will get more assists... only time he passes the ball is when he is not being able to shoot ...if Lakers didn't run Triangle offense .. Kobe will have higher AST PG

He is a good player thats plays very hard .. but he is not better than Kobe..

Edit: Esreg: Iverson is a ballhog all right, his career assists per game is a lowly 6.3.

Iverson is mucb better than Kobe. As mentioned before AI has a higher PPG and total points average than Kobe. Not to mention he is 2nd only 2 Jordan in playoff PPG and has the most 50 point games than any other player in the game. He did this all playing in less games than Kobe.

As mentioned before Iverson is the better passer averged 7 apg last couple of seasons and 6+ career apg. What is Kobe's average. Iverson has also led the league in stealing a defensive stat and was never all-defense. h**l, Larry Hughes led the league in steals and was named on the all-defensive team. Why not AI? Anyway, thats another story Kobe has been overrated on the defensive side of the game never led the league in any defensive stats and doesnt foce to's so what makes him a better defender than Iverson? Last time I checked Gilbert Arenas player he has guarded never put up 60 points on him like he did 2 Kobe. Not to mention Allan Houston put up 50 on Kobe and Ray Allen has had big games against Kobe in Seattle and Milwaukee. , AI has been fortunate enough never to let the RIP's, Arenas;s, etc. not drop those monstrous points on him

Also what the **** do you mean Kobe is more a team player than Iverson. Kobe had Caron Butler, Lamar Odom, Chucky Atkins and could not make the playoffs. AI had Snow, an old Mutombo, Lynch (alright), Tyrone Hill and went to the Finals. Not to mention Aaron ******* McKie won 6th man of the year. Do you think he could have done that w/o Iverson. Who on Kobe's team won 6th man of year, rookie of year (none). Shaq was the heart and soul of the Lakers like AI was the heart and soul of the Sixers.

The only reason why the Nuggets cant advance is that the bench is soft in a stacked west. AI and Melo can only go so far. And Melo is terrible in the playoffs so he isnt much help there.

Also AI is def. the better offenisve player I dont give a **** that Kobe came out of HS and had Shaq. AI had Jerry Stackhouse. Led the league in scoring in his heyday. h**l he can probably be a 20+ ppg scorer now if he wasnt used as a 6th man. Anyway he took as much shots as Shaq so what of it the first couple of years AI beat Kobe.

The way I see it AI has 4 scoring titles

Kobe & TMac have 2 scoring titles

I dont get why people call AI a PG I mean he played it at times and is in a pg body but he has played SG pretty much his whole career.

Philadelphia - Eric "Sucking" Snow was PG

Denver - Blake/Carter PG's

If we are talking about handles AI kills Kobe in that cause he has the sickest crossover since Tim Hardaway patented it. All Kobe has on AI is dunking cause he is 6"6 and AI is 6"0 and AI at 33 still dunks Ive seen games this year 1 w/ Lakers he scored 50 he dunked.

Also AI is the same as he was before if not better the last 2 years he has had better fg%'s and the only reason he is not at 30 ppg (he is not that far either) is because he has Melo a 25+ ppg scorer who takes a lot of shots. If he still was in Philly it would be AI and Bron competing for leagues leading scorer. Remember the year he got traded to Denver he was leading the NBA in scoring but was benched 11 games by his team missed 3 games when he was traded and his average dropped to leagues 2nd leading scorer.

Kobe is better than A.I. because he can do more. But A.I. s great. You really can't compare the two, Iverson is a pg who scores. He is also not selfish with the ball. You ever see him play with good players around him (all star game, Olympics) he passes to much. He went to the finals with a team full of second and third string players.

who cares about how many points a.i. averages...its all about the team...sure he probably averages more points a game than kobe but look at his field goal percentage for his career!! in the low 40s.  AI is a hall of fame player no doubt about it but he's not in the same breath as the great kb 24.  kobe can do it all...he will defend the opponents best player...he will shoot from the perimeter...he is the best all around player and the most complete basketball player on the planet today bar none!!!

Maybe they should do a little research before a post,  ...Kobe stats don't touch A.I's offensive stats

A.I has a higher career ppg than Kobe, and is 19th ALL-TIME in scoring (ahead of Kobe, despite the fact he has played less games)

not to mention ASSIST. (6.3 apg CAREER) (7.2+ for the past 5 seasons)

EDIT: esreg, Im here to discuss basketball not to make enemies, but in A.I. defense..you are making alot of excuses,instead of acknowledging his accomplishments, yea A.I. has the ball alot, but Kobe lead the league in FGA, so he does too...And in the past other players have had success getting Assist in the triagle offese such as Jordan and Pippen (#15 ALL-TIME as a foward is impressive) ..and yes A.I. FG% is HORRIBLE, but Kobe's career FG% is right around 44% which isnt exactally that impressive either
