Allen Master confident to complete hat-trick
In the high-profile race of Ladbrokes Greyhound Derby Plate 550 Semi-final, the Gilbert trained black dog, Allen Master, will run with two objectives that includes completion of hat-trick and qualification for the final. Thus, the two-year-old young hound is expected to deliver a convincing performance tonight after breaking from the black box.
The brilliant sprinter has made some iconic marks at Shelbourne Park; therefore, he will take it quite easy to run over 550 yards alongside five worthy competitors.
The dashing dog has been at the top of his game since debuting in December 2011. He broke his maiden with the 4-length clean victory in an open race on May 5.
In the month of June, the skilled runner nicely bagged a couple of consecutive triumphs. He went on to win Dobbins @ Shelbourne Open 550 on July 7. Considering his impressive performance in this race, the punters tagged him as the hot favourite hound for the very next start. The dog ran well and again earned a 4-lenght victory.
During the second half of the last month, the son of Forest Master out of Forest Daisy again won two open races in a row. The one was 2012 Ladbrokes Greyhound Derby Plate 550 Round 1 Heat 3 while the other is known as Ladbrokes Greyhound Derby Plate 550 Round 2 Heat 2.
Now, Allen Master is keen to win the semi-final at every cost. His current form shows that he will be able to do it well, but North Bound can prove to be fatal enough for him.
The Dunne trained black dog is too on the verge of a hat-trick. Interesting to note is the fact that he also won a race each on August 16 and 25-----they were 2012 Ladbrokes Greyhound Derby Plate 550 Round 1 Heat 2 and Ladbrokes Greyhound Derby Plate 550 Round 2 Heat 1 respectively.
Thus, Allen Master will have to face a lot of resistance on his way towards the finish line. This will make the event interesting enough. Let us move to the venue to enjoy the heated action. Good luck to both the worthy contestants.
