Alligator Challenge Player Ratings: Devon-Willow 9 – EFG Bank 6
Devon-Willow shocked EFG Bank in the round match of the Alligator Challenge and moved forward into the next round. The one-sided contest concluded with EFG Bank seeming lacklustre throughout the game and their scoring was hounded by a balanced Devon-Willow
strike.
EFG Bank commenced to find its rhythm with countless chances created in the game, but failed to take the advantage. An imbalanced show-off from EFG Bank in the game established a heading opportunity for them to make a comeback into the game, but failed to
do so. Thanks to striking players of Devon-Willow who finished the game with a 9-6 victory. Brandon Phillips and Rob Stenzel were skilfully able to lead to his side for a significant triumph.
Devon-Willow
Brandon Phillips: 7.5/10
Without any doubt, it was an excellent performance from Phillips as he spanked three goals in the crucial match and made the win possible for his foursome. He put all efforts to keep on in the contest and succeeded to do so. A fairly outrageous striking
display was the hallmark of his game against EFG Bank. Though his performance was not unexpected, his movement in the match amazed the audience a lot.
Rob Stenzel: 7.0/10
Stenzel, the youngster looked like a bargain for Devon-Willow after scoring three times in the six-chukka action. He succeeded in engraving his shots on the score-board through the field efforts and penalty-shots as well.
He was implicated at times in creating scoring chances for leading player and was successful to get an impressive place for his team in the next round.
Robbie Egan: 6.0/10
Egan also gave EFG Bank a stiff time and showed inflexible defence in the game. He was not only impressive at the defence, but also lit the lamp twice for Devon-Willow. He was one of the dominant defender who brushed aside numerous attacks and as well created
opportunities for strikers. Apart from some missing shots, his performance was unquestionable on the field.
Scott Devon: 5.0/10
Devon used to help his team-mates to dominate the game and he worked hard in this regard. Though he attempted to show reasonable defence, he was sloppy in ball possession. He was also less affective except his only goal of the game.
EFG Bank
Diogo Gallego: 7.0/10
Playing in an unusual place, the youngster rendered one of the best performances of his short career and marked three goals in the game. He was almost to start the season and partook in the first tournament. With brilliantly taken goals, he enthralled the
spectators a lot and proved his worth for the mega events.
Luis Escobar: 6.0/10
He was intended to do big things early in the game, but failed to do so. Apart from glimpsing his magic, he could not stamp his authority in the game. He took lengthy rides onto the field, but was sloppy in ball possession.
Cecilia Cochrane: 5.5/10
Cochrane was quite impressive only once in the game and led an attack against Devon-Willow. Except that he was not reasonable at the defensive position and could not stop strikes from the opposite side.
Tommy Biddle: 4.0/10
He made an awful tackle at the back position and conceded many goals in the six-frame action. We will not be wrong if we call him a flop man, as he could not create much impact in the game.
