Alligators as pets?

i live in OREGON, and im curious about alligators.

do we need a lisence to own one in oregon?

ive seen them for sale before in a pet shop here,

it wasnt an exotic pet shop, just an ordinary pet shop.

i see them often, but do you think a lisence is needed?

cuz i dont think so when i see them at an ordinary pet shop

ive asked and oregon exotic oet law place, and im waiting for a reply.

do you think a lisence is needed?

--------------------------------------...

i think not, since animals in this shop need no lisence, and nothing said anything about a lisence needing for the alligators in the shop.

what do u think??

>>any opinion is great<<

  1. that was probably a caimen and NOT an alligator, but i could be wrong

you would have to check with your state about the legalities

having an alligator is a huge responsibility. I take care of 4 and they are not really that fun to deal with. They grow to the amount you feed them. They need a big area to swim, lay and soak up sun or heat.

They dont give a d**n if they bite the hand that feeds them and will constantly challenge you

  2. I think if you look at the website for Oregon's fish and wildlife commission or DNR or whatever you have you can probably find out with a little bit of real research.
