Alligators in Cancun?!?!?

I am going to Cancun and I have heard that there aren't very many harmful sharks, but you do need to watch out for alligators! How do you avoid them? At what time are they out the most? Also, do you need to watch out for them when swimming in theocean? eeekkkk!

Alligators do not live in the ocean, so it is safe from alligators. The lagoon has alligators as well as ponds around some golf courses. Don't swim in the lagoon and ponds and you will be safe.
